Election Commission to deploy five police observers for Haryana Assembly elections

Haryana will witness deployment of five police observers for the first time in order to ensure free and fair polling in the state.

"Five police observers will be deployed in sensitive districts," Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath told a press conference here.

Expressing satisfaction over the poll preparedness in Haryana, Sampath hoped for a greater participation of voters in the upcoming elections.

Voting in Haryana will take place on October 15 while the counting will be held on October 19.
