Ahead of the pulsating semifinal clash of the Euro 2016, Portugal midfielder Andre Gomes has claimed that his side will not concentrate on Wales' star forward Gareth Bale and instead focus on exposing the frailties of Chris Coleman's side.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Spanish club Valencia, admitted that Wales are a strong team but stated that Portugal will use their 'best weapons' to beat the Welsh Dragons, the Daily Express reported.
Wales produced a sensational performance throughout the European Championship, beating world number two Belgium 3-1 in the quarterfinals to reach their first semifinal in a major tournament.
And Real Madrid star forward Bale has played a key role in Wales' sensational run in the tournament, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Despite acknowledging the looming threat of Bale, Gomes said his side wouldn't need to take 'special care' about the Welsh and rather focus on the entire team.
Meanwhile, Portugal progressed to the last four without winning a match in 90 minutes with their star striker Cristiano Ronaldo having an average tournament.
The Real Madrid striker's best performance came against Hungary as he broke a European Championship record by scoring in his fourth finals to rescue a 3-3 draw and avoid an early exit from France.
Portugal and Wales will lock horns against each other in the last four match at Stade de Lyon, France on Thursday.
