Exposing failure of BJP important, will ensure their defeat in Rajasthan: Rahul Gandhi

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that exposing the failures of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is important, and added that the Congress will do whatever it takes to ensure the saffron party's defeat.

"We must expose the failures of the BJP. They just want to benefit the rich if they come to power, but we want to help the downtrodden," said Gandhi, while addressing a rally in Tonk, Rajasthan.

"We will travel by road, go to villages and go to the streets to fight the BJP Government in Rajasthan," he said.

"We want to run a government for those who run the country on a daily basis, namely the watchmen, taxi drivers, and auto drivers," he added.

He further said that after the Congress lost the assembly polls in Rajasthan, they named Sachin Pilot, a youth leader as PCC president in the hope of representing the aspirations of the people better.

"We are building a dedicated industrial and freight corridor that will benefit the state," he said.

"The Congress will also put up new and young faces for every election," he added.
