Senior Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) functionary Rajeev Shukla on Wednesday said that the final decision whether to host the much-awaited World T20 clash between India and Pakistan in Dharamsala would be taken by this evening.

"PCB's e-mail is with the BCCI and ICC president and they are thinking over the mater. And by evening, a decision will be taken in this regard," Shukla, who is the IPL chairman, told the media here.

Citing security concerns, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier delayed the departure of the women and men's national cricket team to India for the World T20.

The PCB had reportedly asked the ICC to shift the match venue from Dharamsala.

World T20 tournament director M.V. Sridhar had earlier said that the India- Pakistan match would be held as scheduled in Dharamsala.

"The match is on. The state and central governments are onboard and all security arrangements have been made," he said after a meeting with M.K. Singla, Special Secretary (Internal Security) and other MHA officials.

A two-member PCB security delegation comprising senior director of the Federal Investigation Agency Usman Anwar and Col. Azam from the Ministry of Interior arrived in India on Monday to assess the situation ahead of the Dharamsala T20 on March 19.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had hinted that the Centre was ready to provide paramilitary forces after Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh expressed his inability to provide security after the ex-servicemen and families of slain army officials opposed to the match involving Pakistan in the wake of the recent Pathankot terror attacks.
