Opening up about One Direction's 'History' music video, Zayn Malik has revealed that he was thrilled to find his footage from the early days of the group in their clip.

The 23-year-old singer, who left the group in March 2015 to go solo, features heavily in the clip, which is the band's last release before taking an extended hiatus, Channel 24 reported.

The 'Pillow Talk' hitmaker, who was grateful to be a part of the montage, said that it was a nice memento to look back at and to be reminiscent of a time that was great for all five of us together.

He added "And I'm glad that they did that. It was cool, it was nice.
