Gopinath Munde's body has been flown in to Latur airport where several leaders including Prakash Javadekar, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Amit Deshmukh have congregated to receive his mortal remains. The Union minister's body will be taken to his native Parli village for the final rites which will take place today after 2pm.
Munde's nephew, Rahul Mahajan, has also reached Beed to witness the funeral ceremony which will be conducted with full state honours.
Munde, who was recently sworn-in as the Union Minister for Rural Development, passed away on Tuesday due to a car accident which took place in New Delhi.
