Govt. reaches out to opposition ahead of Winter Session

Expressing hope that the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament proves to be constructive and productive, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Monday urged all the political parties to cooperate in passage of important bills which are crucial for the nation's development.

"The government and the entire ruling party look forward to this session turning out to be constructive, productive. We are quite optimistic about it and we are sure that all the political parties regardless of their political affiliation and political beliefs will rise to the occasion at least to ensure the passage of such bills, which are pending for a long time and which are directly related to the interest of the benefits of the common man," Singh told ANI here.

"We have a number of bills that we are concerned, we have Whistleblowers Bill, Prevention of Corruption Bill, which are pending need to be looked after. These are the bills which the nation expects us to get passed regardless of our political reasons and being parliamentarians we owe to our voters," he added.

The Winter Session of Parliament is set to commence from November 26 and end on December 23.
