Hayden Panettiere shocked the fashion world as she made her red carpet appearance at the Golden Globes Awards in an off-the-rack Tom Ford gown.
The 24-year-old American actress admitted that she had fallen in love with the particular look which prompted her to make the purchase last minute and she felt great in it, the New York Post reported.
Sources revealed that even the 52-year-old fashion designer was stunned to see the 'Nashville' star wearing one of his creations as he dresses one woman per awards show and he had put a lot of effort into Naomi Watts' dress.
The 'Heroes' actress wore the black-and-white design as she wasn't pleased with any of the gowns her first stylist pulled and had to resort to buying a frock straight off the rack.
She added that she was "honored" to wear a Tom Ford gown and the designer later sent her flowers because she was speaking so kindly about him on the red carpet.
