Philip Seymour Hoffman's friends and family will be honoring him with a private funeral service in New York.
A representative for the 'Capote' star, who died of an apparent drug overdose, revealed that his family and friends plan to say goodbye to him with a funeral in the city he called home, Us Weekly reported.
The rep added that plans are also under way for a memorial service later in the month and that his family has requested donations to be made in the late Oscar winner's name to the DreamYard Project and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
Hoffman's family has thanked everyone for their continued support and good wishes.
