The architects have provided easy designs online to build homes that can float on water, it has been reported.
By creating a home that floats, Britain-based Carl Turner Architects are promoting a new wave of properties on to the market that can be situated on flood plains and waterways, Stuff.co.nz reported.
The prefabricated home comes in a series of components that are lifted into the desired position. The two-bedroom, 125-square-metre home includes one bathroom, a study and an open-plan living and kitchen area.
The plans will be freely available on the open sources architecture project Paperhouses.
