Idris Elba will now be seen in an extreme six-part racing docu-series called 'The Idris Elba Project' for the Discovery Channel, it has been revealed. The 42-year-old Brit actor will take part in alley driving, street racing, aerobatics and power boating for the series, Deadline.com reported.
Elba said in a statement that he will be taking on the toughest racing challenges of his life for this new Discovery TV series and will meet extraordinary individuals, amazing machines and hear astonishing stories of how far people go to satisfy their love of speed.
Elba's company Green Door Pictures is co-producing the adventurous project with Shine North.
The show will air on Discovery in mid-2015 in more than 220 countries and territories, including the U.S.
