Actress India Eisley, who starred in ABC's 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager,' is in final talks to join cast of the upcoming film 'The Curse of Sleeping Beauty' as the Sleeping Beauty aka Briar Rose.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film, which is based on the Brothers Grimm classic but would have a dark take, would be helmed and produced by Pearry Teo, while Bleiberg Entertainment's Ehud Bleiberg also produce it with Nicholas Donnermeyer as executive producer.
Teo said that he had that he wanted to try something like "Silent Hill, Pan's Labyrinth, The Cell and Insidious," a different version of 'Sleeping Beauty' that was unique, both visually as well as in storytelling.
Meanwhile, a concurrent comic book is also in the works by illustrator Everett Hartsoe.
