IS planning to mint its own 'purely dedicated to God' currency

Islamic State (IS) militant group in Iraq and Syria is planning to mint its own currency in copper, silver and gold that would be "purely dedicated to God", said the group.

According to CNN, the group also said that it would issue another statement to explain the currency's exchange rate and how it can be found.

The currency would consist of two gold, three silver and two copper coins.

IS fights also said in the statement that the move is "purely dedicated to God".

IS militants have taken over large swathes of Iraq and Syria and seeks to establish an Islamic State.
