The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Friday blamed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the waving of Islamic State (IS) flag by separatists in the state and alleged that it is supporting 'anti-national government' in the valley.

"Why to ask us? Why not from the Prime Minister who is supporting this government? This anti-national government is being supported with the blessing the government is going on. So I don't blame the Kashmiris, I blame BJP, BJP government and the Prime Minister all what so happening in Jammu and Kashmir against national interest," JKNPP leader Bhim Singh said in New Delhi.

Separatists waved Islamic State's flag in Anantnag city of the state, while raising the slogans of 'freedom', which happens to be the death anniversary of separatist leader Qazi Nissar Ahmad.

Supporters of Ahmad, with their faces covered, carried a black banner resembling IS flag as they marched across Anantnag.

The demonstrators chanted the slogan 'freedom' while carrying the ISIS flag and Ahmad's photograph.

The act was condemned by several leaders at the state and federal level.

The present coalition government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kashmir was formed in February this year.
