Jaffna, the capital of Sri Lanka's Northern Province will host the sixth annual Jaffna International Trade Fair (JITF) from January 23 to 25.
According to a Lanka Page report, the event will be held in the Duraiappah Stadium.
The three-day event is being organized by the Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd. with the objective of helping various industries to make inroads into the Jaffna Peninsula, which had long been relegated as an area too risky to invest in.
The JITF 2014 had 62,000 visitors from all over Sri Lanka. A total of 7500 delegates were specially invited to the show. About 293 international visitors and delegates also visited the show in 2014.
The JITF 2014 had 320 stalls and 25 foreign stalls.
