Grammy Award-winning pop singer Janet Jackson will be honoured with the Icon Award at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.
The 51-year-old joins the club of Icon recipients along with Neil Diamond (2011), Stevie Wonder (2012), Prince (2013), Jennifer Lopez (2014), Celine Dion (2016) and Cher (2017), reports E! Online.
She will also take the stage for her first performance on television in nine years.
The event, to be hosted by Kelly Clarkson, will broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20.
