Former union minister Jaswant Singh was on Wednesday admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital here.
Singh, who had unsuccessfully contested as an independent candidate from Rajasthan's Barmer constituency in the Lok Sabha polls, had earlier in December last year been discharged from the Army Research and Referral Hospital in a "minimally conscious state", four months after he was admitted with severe head injuries.
The 76-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital earlier on August 8 last year in a critical condition after his family found him lying on the floor of his house in an unconscious state.
Singh, who was expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier on March 29, 2014, after he refused to withdraw his nomination as an independent in the Barmer Lok Sabha constituency against his own party candidate, held many portfolios in the national cabinet including Finance, External Affairs and Defence during the NDA regime (1998 to 2004).
