'Jurassic World' had a record breaking opening weekend and claimed 511 million dollars worldwide.
The fourth instalment of the series was top choice in the 66 countries where it was released, and has become the first film to earn over 500 million dollars its opening weekend, reported Deadline.com.
As per Exhibitor Relations, the film made 204.6 million dollars in the US, 100 million dollars in China and 29.6 million dollars in the UK and Ireland as part of the record global total of 511.8 million dollars.
Universal's Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starrer flick had the second highest grossing opening weekend in the US, coming next to Marvel's 'The Avengers' at the first place with 207.4m in 2012.
The film was co-produced by Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films in the series, and directed by Colin Trevorrow.
