Juventus F.C.'s midfielder Arturo Vidal has reportedly agreed personal terms to join Premier League club Manchester United, it has been revealed.

Media reports have claimed that Vidal has given the green light to a five-year contract worth 1,82,000 pounds-a-week at Old Trafford.

Italian champions Juventus are now demanding a final decision from Vidal on whether he plans to leave, the Daily Star reported.

United would have to smash their transfer record to get the Chile midfielder as Juventus want them to stump up 47 million pounds for the midfielders services, while sacked boss David Moyes shelled out 37.1 million pounds for Juan Mata in January.

The midfielder underwent cartilage surgery on his right knee at the beginning of May, ahead of the World Cup, after suffering a tear to the external meniscus, but recovered in time for the tournament in Brazil and displayed no signs of the injury.

He helped Chile reach the knockout stages in the World Cup before bowing out to the hosts on penalties.

However, it is understood that United's new boss Louis van Gaal still holds some concerns over his fitness.

Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli said that he knows that right now the big obstacle facing transfer from Juventus to United, for 47 million pounds, is the doubt of Van Gaal regarding the improvement of Arturo's knee.
