Janata Dal (United) leader K C Tyagi on Monday said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be felicitated by his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal during the 'Bihar Samman' program on August 19.
"Nitish Kumar will be felicitated in 'Bihar Samman' program to be held on August 19 in Mavlankar Hall. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will give him this honour," Tyagi told ANI.
"Kejriwal will be supporting Janata Dal (United) and his party will organise programmes in Bihar to support Nitish Kumar," he added.
Nitish Kumar, who is fighting one of the toughest battles of his political career, had earlier voiced his support for Kejriwal's demand of full statehood for Delhi.
Nitish Kumar, who has joined hands with his former adversary RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the grand alliance emerges victorious in the Bihar assembly polls likely to take place in October-November this year.
