Khaleda Zia appears before court in charitable, orphanage trust graft cases

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chief Khaleda Zia has appeared before a court in Dhaka in connection with both Zia charitable trust and Zia orphanage trust graft cases.

According to the Daily Star, Khaleda reached on the premises of the makeshift court at Bakshibazar around 11:00am.

When Zia entered the courtoom, special Judge Court-3 of Dhaka Judge Abu Ahmed Jomadar was recording deposition of an eye witness in the cases.

The BNP chief is being accompanied by her Special Assistant Shimul Biswas and Personal Secretary Mahabubur Rahman Dew, Syrul Kabir an official of BNP chairperson's press wing.
