After an alleged militant was killed in a gunfight with security forces on Tuesday, the family of the deceased on Wednesday claimed that their son was lost in a fake encounter.
"He was called on the phone, the Army had arrested him earlier and then killed him in a fake encounter. It had been four days since he was missing. The Indian government is hatching a conspiracy in Kashmir and they should not be doing this, it not right," said Mohammad Butt, the brother of the alleged militant.
Hundreds of residents participated in the funeral procession of the deceased, while his family was preparing for the last rites.
On Tuesday, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir gunned down two alleged militants in Goshbug area in Baramulla District, which is 32 kilometers Srinagar.
