Barcelona has reportedly joined its Spanish League rival Real Madrid in the race to sign Premier League's top goal scorer Luis Suarez, who plays for Liverpool and the Uruguay national team.
Both the Spanish giants are looking to sign Suarez and are of the belief that a 70 million pound bid would activate a release clause for the ace striker.
According to The Mirror, Suarez is the hottest target in football, thanks to his demolition job on England in the World Cup.
Suarez took a swipe at England boss Roy Hodgson for remarks the manager made in the build-up to the Group D match, saying that it was not revenge, but in England they talked about the injury and the coach had words that annoyed him.
Suarez said that the England coach had said that the Uruguayan was a proven Premier League player, but not world class, so he added that there is the answer.
Despite Suarez having signed a new 1,80,000 pound-a-week contract last summer at Anfield, Barca feels that the time is right currently to take the striker away from Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid also sounded out Suarez's agent Pere Guardiola and they too think they can tempt him to Spain this summer.
