A source informed that the few past years have been very tough for the American professional basketball player, who's presently battling for his life in the hospital, and was also previously arrested for DUI in August 2013, E! Online reported.

Notably, months after the player's drug addiction, his former 31-year-old wife filed for divorce and this was really tough for both the parties to handle and the player was completely heartbroken because he was the reason behind his marriage of four years coming to an end.

After losing his partner in his life, the 35-year-old player's mental health got worse as he started stalking Kardashian.

Sadly, Odom, who was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday following a drug overdose, lost her mother at the age of 10 and father, Joe Odom, struggled with his own demons.

Reportedly, Odom's life was filed with tragedy as his 6-month-old son died in 2006 from SIDS and most recently, his longtime friend Jamie Sangouthai died of an infection from chronic IV drug abuse.
