Manchester United is reportedly eyeing to bring back defender Nemanja Vidic to Old Trafford in the summer as the Serb has been dumped onto the transfer list by Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini.
Louis van Gaal is looking to pick up the Serb on a free after the defender spent nine years at Old Trafford before moving to Inter Milan.
Vidic has found it hard to settle in Serie A and has been heavily criticised for boob-ridden displays with new boss Mancini quickly losing patience since his November arrival, the Daily Star reported.
Inter is unlikely to ask for a fee but would be delighted to rid themselves of Vidic's 50,000 pounds-a-week wages.
Vidic would be allowed to leave when the transfer window opens at the end of the week and he would love to return to United where he could provide a short fix in defence until the end of the season.
Juventus and Besiktas are also showing interest in Vidic but home is where the heart of the Serb is and the United legend would walk back into Old Trafford without any hesitation, the report added.
