World number three golfer Rory McIlroy believes that he can regain the numero uno position in time for the Augusta Masters by making a strong debut at this week's Northern Trust Open in Los Angeles.
McIlroy endured an injury-wrecked 2015 season and slipped to third behind Jordan Spieth and Australia's Jason Day in the latest world rankings.
The four-time major champion said that he hopes to make a solid start to the season in California, insisting that he was trying to reclaim the top spot as quickly as he could, Sport24 reported.
