A new study has revealed that men with children are happier than their male friends without children, unlike women.
The findings from the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index revealed that women, regardless of their motherhood, didn't show any significant difference in their happiness, News.com.au reported.
The research showed that men with three children were at their happiest, while men with four children, except fathers who had only daughters, reported greater wellbeing than men with just one or two kids.
Author Melissa Weinberg said that dads with a house full of girls might be feeling that they had less to offer and less knowledge to pass on, than if they had a son.
He further added that women were able to get a sense of satisfaction in their relationships from outside the family, without having children and so were able to maintain strong social connections.
