The Met department has warned of heavy rain coupled with gusty surface wind in several parts of Odisha during the next 24 hours due to a low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal.
Under the impact of low pressure, rain or thunder shower is likely to occur at most places over north and south Odisha during the next 24 hours.
The Met department said heavy rain is also likely to occur at one or two places over the coastal districts of Odisha.
The fishermen have been asked not to venture into sea in South-Odisha Coast as the sea condition would be rough.
The state is experiencing good shower for the past couple of days.
In Bihar, the flood situation continued to remain grim. Surging waters of Gandak and Mahananda have engulfed new areas after about two lakh cusecs of water was discharged from Gandak barrage.
Flood has affected 27 lakh people in 12 districts.
