Michelle Obama encourages tennis fans to follow role models

US First Lady Michelle Obama has said that tennis is a great way to stay healthy and fit, while she was at Flushing Meadows on Saturday for Arthur Ashe Kids Day, encouraging fans to take up the sport.

According to tennisworldusa.org, Michelle, who is her self a recreational tennis player, commented that when she was a kid, she did not have tennis role models but now there were plenty.

She said that tennis was a lifelong sport that could get the heart racing and pumping, no matter how old one was.
