Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has reportedly revealed that he hopes to appoint a coach by the French Open in May as he will soon begin his search for a new coach.
Murray said that he will definitely look for a new coach for over the next couple of weeks adding that he does not plan on playing much tennis for the next week because he has not had much time off this year.
According to Sport24, the world number eight ended a two-year partnership with coach Ivan Lendl last month and will meet members of his back-room team to discuss plans to appoint Lendl's successor as coach.
The Scottish tennis player said that he would see which route he wants to go down regarding a new coach adding that once a player makes a decision on who it is that they want to approach, they need to be up for doing it.
Murray, who is not due to play a tournament until Madrid next month, has not reached a final since winning last year's Wimbledon tournament as he underwent a back surgery last September, but said that he is happy with the progress he is making, the report added.
