Natalie Portman will essay the role of United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a Daniel Stiepleman penned biopic 'On The Basis Of Sex'.
The 'Black Swan' actress has been signed to portray Justice Ginsburg, who fought for equal rights throughout her career and advocated the advancement of women's rights as the second female judge of Supreme Court and the first Jewish female justice, Deadline.com reported.
The Israeli-born American actress is known for her good taste of movies and being meticulous and deliberate in her choice of projects.
The biopic on Justice Ginsburg will be produced by Robert W. Cort and executive produced by Ram Bergman.
The production is to start by the end of the year.
