Netflix profits surge to $48.4mn with 44 mn subscribers in Q4

American Internet streaming media provider Netflix's profit has surged again in the fourth quarter to 48.4 million dollars with addition of more than 4 million subscribers.

The company's shares rose 17 percent to 390.46 dollars after hours as its outlook for profit in the current quarter beat Wall Street expectations, Cnet reports.

The company expects the number to reach 48 million by the end of March, the report added.
