A new beheading video released by the Islamic State (IS) has reportedly threatened to behead United States President Barack Obama "in the White House and transform America into a Muslim province."
The video clip, titled "Bombardment of Peaceful Muslims in the City of Mosul," showed the damage caused by shelling allegedly carried out by Peshmerga troops in the Iraqi city earlier this month before beheading a captive Kurdish soldier in retaliation, reported The Independent.
Pointing to the beheaded soldier, the IS fighter warned that anyone who opposes Islam will be met with the same fate.
Threatening attacks against the U.S., France, Belgium and the Kurds, the masked militant also warned that the outfit's followers would kill the American and Kurdish presidents and detonate car bombs and explosives in European countries that are part of the U.S.-led coalition conducting air strikes in Iraq and Syria.
He also claimed that the Peshmerga troops had dropped American Crusader bombs on the "peaceful" Muslims of Mosul and had poisoned them with asphyxiating gases as he showed images of damaged buildings, bodies and injured children.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (Memri) said that the video was released two days after Peshmerga forces carried out heavy shelling and coalition air strikes were conducted in Mosul.
