Australian batsman Chris Lynn, who made his Twenty20 international debut against England in Hobart, has reportedly attracted late attention of the scouts of the moneyed Indian Premier League (IPL).
The IPL has released the list of reserve prices for 232 international players to be auctioned with Ashes heroes Mitchell Johnson, Brad Haddin, James Pattinson and Steve Smith having the highest base price of 365,000 dollars.
According to News.com.au, Lynn could get much more than he hoped in his wildest dreams during the IPL auction of February 12 after his strong Big Bash season and an impressive T20 debut with an unbeaten 33 off 21 balls including three sixes against England in Hobart.
However, Lynn is not on the IPL's list of 'capped' international players as he has only just played his first game for Australia, adding that although the list of uncapped players has not been released, however, Lynn confirmed that his base price was 55,000 dollars.
Lynn, who learned his craft on a backyard pitch in Brisbane built by his father, said that he is keeping his fingers crossed that the IPL scouts have been watching him and are interested in him, in view of his extraordinary comeback from a seriously injured testicle.
The report mentioned that Lynn has been back with a bang this season, often looking like a baseball-hitter with his innovative cross-batted straight swats, which were moulded in his backyard cricket days.
