Hardik Patel, who has been leading the Patel community's agitation for reservation in Gujarat, on Sunday said that their protest is not a 100 metre race but a marathon that would continue for at least one or two years.
"We (Patel community) are 27 crores in the whole country. We have to unite them and we will take this protest across the country," Patel told media here.
"This protest is not a 100 metre race, it's a marathon and it will continue at least for one or two years," he added.
Patel is expected to hold talks with both Gurjars and Jats in the national capital today.
Further updates awaited.
