The Patiala House court here is to hear Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's plea to get a copy of the FIR filed against him and others in an alleged disproportionate assets case, two days after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at various places owned by him and his family.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had earlier raided eleven locations in Himachal Pradesh and New Delhi connected to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
A Disproportionate Assets case has also been registered against Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The BJP has accused Virbhadra Singh of taking bribes from an energy firm for giving it a 10-month extension. The party has also accused Singh of tax evasion.
