The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that the latest terror strike in Pakistan is an indicator of the complete breakdown of law and order in the Islamic Republic.
The BJP was referring to an attack by unidentified gunmen on a mosque in Peshawar earlier in the day, which left least 22 people dead, with a further 60 injured.
"I think barely a month after the last incident happened in Peshawar, a ghastly incident where hundreds of children have been killed mercilessly. Now, you have another major terror attack in Peshawar. I think it points towards a complete breakdown of law and order in that country," BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao told ANI.
"It only further highlights that there is no internal stability in Pakistan," he added.
In December, members of the banned terrorist outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had attacked the Army Public School in Peshawar, leaving 141 people, including 132 students dead, drawing condemnation from across the world.
