Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed grief at the passing away of BJP MP Dileep Singh Bhuria, saying his thoughts are with the deceased's family.

"In the passing away of Shri Dileep Singh Bhuria, we have lost a veteran political leader who did immense work for tribal communities," Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.

"Shri Bhuria had years of legislative experience, both in Madhya Pradesh & at the National level, which was his major asset.

My thoughts are with the family of Shri Bhuria during this hour of grief. May his soul rest in peace," he added.

Bhuria, 71, was the member of Lok Sabha from Ratlam seat in Madhya Pradesh.
