Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientists for the successful launch of their third navigational satellite IRNSS 1C on board PSLV C26 from Sriharikota.
"Congrats to the scientists at ISRO for the successful launch of navigation satellite IRNSS 1C. It is a matter of immense pride and joy," tweeted Prime Minister Modi.
The XL version of PSLV took off from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 1.32 a.m. this morning after a 67-hour countdown that commenced on Monday morning.
The launch vehicle successfully placed the 1,425.4 kg satellite in the intended orbit twenty minutes after take-off.
