Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the people of Iraq on their National Day.
"Republic Day greetings to the people of Iraq. We value our ties with Iraq & I am sure our ties will become stronger in the coming years," Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.
Iraq observes July 14 as their National Day to commemorate the 1958 revolution, which saw the overthrowing of the King Faisal I monarchy and the establishment of a republic.
