PM Modi inaugurates new Chandigarh terminal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated a new terminal at the Chandigarh Airport.

The new terminal airport has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 939 crore by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

The new Civil Air Terminal has been established at Chandigarh as a joint venture by the name of Chandigarh International Airport Ltd (CHIAL) with the participation of AAI and the governments of Punjab and Haryana with AAI owning 51 percent stake and the two states owning 24 percent each.
