Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi on Wednesday said police officers and staff must not lose their temper and maintain courtesy no matter what situation they are caught in while on duty.
Commenting on the recent attack on a woman by a traffic inspector, Bassi said, "As far as the training of our officers is concerned, our objective is that our officers must not lose their tempers. No matter what the situation is, they must behave with courtesy."
On Monday, a Delhi traffic policeman was caught on camera attacking a woman with a brick.
The victim was on her way home after picking up her children from school on a two wheeler, when the policeman struck the woman with a brick.
Bassi had later confirmed that the accused policeman has been first suspended and then sacked.
