West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has been ruled out of the Big Bash League (BBL), Australia's domestic Twenty20 tournament, after suffering from knee injury.
Confirming the news, South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) chief Tim Nielsen said they are hoping Pollard recover fully from his injury.
Nielsen, however, admitted that the 28-year-old is a unique player with all-round ability and it would be difficult for them to find his perfect replacement, the Guardian reported.
Pollard was about to feature for his side Adelaide Strikers, which will play their first match against the Melbourne Stars.
