President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday will present 21 Shilp Guru and 59 National Awards to master crafts-persons for the year 2012, 2013 and 2014 at a function to be held at Vigyan Bhavan here in New Delhi.
The main objective of the awards is to give recognition to master crafts-persons for their excellence in craftsmanship and valuable contribution to Indian Handicrafts.
The Shilp Guru award consist a gold coin, Rs. 2, 00, 000 in cash, a Tamrapatra, an Angavastram and a certificate while the National Award consist Rs. 1,00,000 in cash, a Tamrapatra, an Angavastram and a certificate.
