Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the Indian Police Foundation and the Indian Police Institute here on Wednesday. He will be accompanied by Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju.

The Indian Police Foundation and the Indian Police Institute aim at embarking a culture of research and evidence-based policing in India and to avoid subjectivity, personal biases and errors in decision-making.

The setting up of the institutes is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'smart', professionally competent and people-centric police.
