Veteran Australian pacer Ryan Harris is reportedly hoping to return to the squad in time for Australia's next Test encounters - a two-match series away against Pakistan in October.
Harris, who played a career-best 12 Tests on the trot including recent wins over England and South Africa, has no intention of limiting his future Test schedule despite facing six months on the sidelines following major knee surgery.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Tests against Pakistan will be followed by a home Test series against India, the 2015 World Cup and away series against West Indies and England.
Harris is intending to play in all of the above-mentioned matches, even though a frustrating run of knee, hip, shoulder and ankle injuries have limited him to just 24 Tests, saying that he is still able to play back-to-back cricket.
Harris also said that it is always a struggle as a bowler in general, even without any chronic injuries or anything, although he added that he would get strong and fit and make sure that he keeps his vow of playing in the games.
Harris played a key role in the 5-0 summer whitewash of England and defied his deteriorating knee to pick up two late wickets in the dramatic series-deciding win against South Africa, the report added.
