Barcelona star forward Lionel Messi and Read Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo have been named in the 40-man shortlist for the UEFA's Team of the Year.
However, European champions Barcelona dominated the list with eight players including Luis Suarez, Neymar, Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic featuring in the shortlist.
According to Sport24, Ronaldo has been named in the shortlist for the 12th straight time.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are the next best represented club, with six players to be included in the list.
Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is the youngest player to have been named, while goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus is the oldest to make it to the list.
