The defence ministry in Russia has grounded its Mi-28 attack helicopter fleet after a fatal accident at an air show in the Ryazan region on Sunday.
According to the BBC, one pilot was killed and another jumped clear as the helicopter crashed during an aerobatic display by the elite Berkut Squadron.
The Ryazan region is about 170-kilometers south-east of Moscow.
The Russian military has blamed the crash on a hydraulics failure.
There have been six other Russian air force crashes in recent weeks.
The two-seat attack copter was performing stunts and firing flares with three other helicopters, when it went into a spin, fell to the ground and burst into flames.
Pilot Lt. Col. Igor Butenko was killed in the crash, but his family said that the accident was not due to pilot error.
The Russian defence ministry said the second pilot is stable.
