A Russian teenager has sold her virginity for 17, 514 pounds in an online auction.

The 18-year-old Siberian beauty known as Shatuniha, described herself as "new, not used" and claimed that she was in an urgent need of money.

Hence, she said she was selling the most precious thing she possessed, her virginity and was ready to get it verified, the Mirror reported.

She added that she could come to a hotel at Predmostnaya Square along with a document confirming her virginity and a person to take the cash and leave, so that she wasn't fooled.

She further described herself as nice looking, having no bad habits, ready to travel to any other city and could meet as soon as tomorrow.

According to The Siberian Times, the Krasnoyarsk police spokesperson claimed that it was neither administrative nor a criminal violation, nor did it fit into a description of the Prostitution clause and hence had no right to give a moral assessment of the girl's actions.

The auction was won by Evgeniy Volnov, who bid 17,514 pounds.
