Sam Mendes will be returning to direct the 24th James Bond film, it has been revealed.
The 47-year-old, who was at the helm for Skyfall, thanked the producers for giving him the time he needed to honour all his theatre commitments, the Mirror reported.
He said this made it possible for him to direct Bond 24.
The Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning director said that he is looking forward to take up the reins again, and to work with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time.
Meanwhile, producer Wilson commented that they are thrilled to reunite the extraordinary talents of director Mendes with their star Craig for the next great Bond adventure.
